Stephen Eisele

Communications Manager

Stephen is a communications manager with Community Catalyst, a national health care advocacy organization committed to consumer empowerment at the local, state and federal levels. In his role with Community Catalyst, he provides communications support and advice to state and local advocates, as well as federal partners primarily in the areas of Medicaid, ACA marketplace coverage and outreach and enrollment. He also oversees communications assistance to the Southern Health Partners, Kresge Foundation and W.K. Kellogg Foundation projects.

Prior to joining Community Catalyst, Stephen handled nonprofit client work for a Boston-based strategic communications firm and held communications and research roles for a family foundation, Drury University and several political campaigns. He recently joined the boards of Missouri Health Care for All and Missouri Health Care Action. He currently manages the campaign of his husband, Ian Mackey, a candidate for the Missouri House of Representatives, and volunteers with the Church of St. Michael & St. George, MindsEye Radio, and New Leaders Council-St. Louis. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Missouri State University and an MBA in entrepreneurship form Drury University.

Community Catalyst works to ensure consumer interests are represented wherever important decisions about health and the health system are made: in communities, courtrooms, statehouses and on Capitol Hill.
