Tori Bilcik

Digital Coordinator, Consumer State Advocacy Project

Tori is the digital coordinator for the Consumer State Advocacy project at Community Catalyst, supporting the project's grantees as they work to achieve their communications goals and build their digital communications capacity.

Before taking on this role, Tori served as the communications and development associate at Community Catalyst, supporting the communications and development teams as they implemented the organization's communcations and fundraising strategies. Most notably, she was responsible for the launch of the weekly At the Corner of State and Federal newsletter, and played a key role in Together For The People, a fundraising event to honor our founding Executive Director, Rob Restuccia. Tori also served as a communications intern at Community Catalyst in the summer and fall of 2017, supporting the communications team's digital and social media campaigns around defending the Affordable Care Act and Medicaid expansion as leaders in Congress tried multiple times to repeal and replace the law and strip coverage from millions of people.

Outside of Community Catalyst, Tori's advocacy experience includes organizing against gender-based violence, for gender equity, for LGBTQ+ rights, and other forms of social justice. Her writing has been published in The Boston Globe, The Mary Sue, and Substream Magazine, among others.

Tori holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from Emerson College, where she minored in women's, gender and sexuality studies.

Community Catalyst works to ensure consumer interests are represented wherever important decisions about health and the health system are made: in communities, courtrooms, statehouses and on Capitol Hill.
