Alison Kaplan is a Policy Analyst for Community Catalyst. In this role, she conducts policy research and develops issue briefs, fact sheets, and other materials related to Community Catalyst’s federal policy priorities. Additionally, she provides support to Community Catalyst’s networks of state and local advocacy organizations. Previously, Alison worked as a Project Manager for the Community Solutions for Health Equity program, previously housed at Community Catalyst, where she was responsible for day-to-day program operations.

Alison received a bachelor’s degree in anthropology and public health from Ohio State University. She also received master’s degrees in social work and public health from the University of Illinois at Chicago, where she specialized in organizing and community practice and community health sciences, respectively. During graduate school, Alison assisted with policy work and program support in violence prevention initiatives for youth, and health outreach efforts for immigrant populations.
