Alison Kaplan is a Project Manager for Community Catalyst’s Community Solutions for Health Equity program. She is responsible for the program’s day-to-day management.

Previously, Alison worked as a grant writer at The Chicago Lighthouse, which supports individuals who are blind, visually impaired, multi-disabled, and/or veterans. From there, Alison attended graduate school, where she assisted with policy work and program support in violence prevention initiatives for youth, and health outreach efforts for immigrant populations.

Alison received a bachelor’s degree in anthropology and public health from The Ohio State University. She also received master’s degrees in social work and public health from the University of Illinois at Chicago, where she specialized in organizing and community practice and community health sciences, respectively.
