Khristen Holmes, PhD, MPA, is a Community Engagement Consultant at Community Catalyst. In this role, Khristen is responsible for providing training, collaborating during strategy sessions, and supporting community engagement with our partners.

Prior to assuming this role, Khristen spent the last 10 years working with state government, hospital systems, university systems, and a health care startup to increase access to care for vulnerable populations, streamline processes, develop resources, and conduct community-based research. Her research has included working with community leaders and residents to identify health needs, develop community improvement plans, and guide community conversations to build trust within the community. Her passion for health equity and reaching individuals at the community level has provided her with the expertise she uses in her work with Community Catalyst.

Khristen received a bachelor’s degree from the Florida State University, a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from Nova Southeastern University, and a Doctorate degree with a concentration in Health Service Management and Research from the University of Central Florida. She has also published several research papers related to social determinants of health and plans to continue publishing her research in the field.
