Nazow Tarakai is a Program Associate for the Voices for Health Justice Program at Community Catalyst. In this role, Nazow provides programmatic and administrative support.

Previously, Nazow helped to design and deliver a health care management and quality improvement curriculum for the Inter-American Development Bank. She has also worked in a variety of health care roles in Afghanistan, including maternal health and primary care in the Nangarhar Province, and in emergency care and civil society coordination in Jalalabad.

Nazow received her bachelor’s degree in human evolutionary biology and global health and health policy from Harvard University. She is originally from Missouri and is fluent in Pashto and Persian.
