Partners and Friends,

I am excited to announce the inaugural class of Restuccia Health Justice Fellows!

Joining us in this first cohort are Michelle Anderson, Marsha Jones, and Ebony Johnson from The Afiya Center (TAC); Luvia Quiñones, Brandon Lee and Edith Ávila Olea from the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights (ICIRR); Banke Ilori, DeJuan Bland and Ponsella Hardway from Metropolitan Organizing Strategy Enabling Strength (MOSES).

The Restuccia Health Justice Fellowship is dedicated to supporting the growth and reach of diverse advocacy organizations and their leadership teams situated at the intersection of health equity, racial justice, and organizational transformation. The Fellowship's primary objective is to equip diverse teams within local, state, and national health advocacy organizations with the tools, resources, and teamwork they need to transform their organizations. As a result, these organizations will take greater strides towards health equity and racial justice.

In selecting these three amazing organizations and nine individuals, we were intentional about building a cohort that could best leverage the opportunity to grow and learn together and from one another, giving us at Community Catalyst essential opportunities to learn from them. This cohort of fellows began the fellowship program in the fall of 2021 and will graduate this August!

The Fellowship is a year-long program that offers fellows multifaceted support, including coaching from top experts in organizational management, health systems, advocacy, racial justice, and leadership development to help implement their organizational goals and transformation.

Please join me in congratulating and sharing the news of the inaugural Class of the Restuccia Health Justice Fellowship!
