Making Renewals a Success

Dear Partners,

With the holiday season quickly approaching, and holiday shopping on everyone’s to-do list, consumers should also be reminded to shop around for health insurance!

All consumers who enrolled in a Marketplace plan have until December 15 to renew their coverage. While consumers can be automatically enrolled without taking any action, they should be encouraged to shop around for a plan that is a better deal for them.  As December 15 nears, we want to share several new resources for talking about renewals:

Talk Health Insurance To Me!

A new resource is available that provides consumers with information on the Affordable Care Act, tools to calculate their eligibility for financial help and links to enroll in coverage. Created by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, is a helpful, accessible website for consumers to learn how the Affordable Care Act programs benefit them. This new campaign pairs the website and resources with a cutting-edge digital advertising campaign designed to reach consumers on multiple platforms and in multiple languages. The site also includes a special section for partners with digital content and resources that are ready to plug into your outreach and enrollment campaigns.

HHS Announces New Partnerships

To help promote enrollment during the holiday shopping season, HHS announced new partnerships last week with Westfield Shopping Centers, the National Community Pharmacists Association and the XO Group, Inc. (parent company of The Knot, The Nest and The Bump). All three organizations will provide information to consumers throughout open enrollment. Westfield Shopping Centers will host enrollment assisters at mall locations around the country to help consumers complete and submit their Marketplace applications.
