Eight New York medical debt protections drive historic declines in harmful collection practices
Together with partners, we supported eight laws banning hospital liens and wage garnishment between 2021-2025 — driving a 99.8% drop in debt lawsuits, a 78% reduction in medical debt in collections, and removing $241–$337M from credit reports.
Caregiving and aging supports strengthened for millions nationwide
We strengthened HCBS in 10 states, stabilizing support for 14.5M caregivers and families; improved care for 12.8M dually eligible people; and advanced an administration-adopted unified Medicare-Medicaid card to simplify access.
125 community-based organizations mobilized across 13 states for multilingual vaccine safety
We partnered with 15 CBOs on multilingual vaccine-safety research and supported 125 CBOs over four years — enabling 190,000+ vaccinations, training 131,000 trusted messengers, and averting an estimated $1.9–$2.48B in health system costs.
