Medicaid Dental Guidance to States: An Opportunity to Aim for Equity

For more than 50 years, Medicaid has offered low-wage families a path to better health. Yet coverage alone is not enough. Fulfilling Medicaid’s promise means recognizing that in order to be healthy and active, kids need medical and dental care that is personalized. This report provides an overview of the current state of Medicaid policies and periodicity schedules as well as a case study on aligning payment and policies.
