Developed by The American Geriatrics Society, in collaboration with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, The Lewin Group and Community Catalyst, this reprise webinar series is designed to help health professionals in all settings and disciplines expand their knowledge and skills in the unique aspects of caring for older adults with Alzheimer’s disease and in working with their caregivers. This webinar presented core competencies needed for the assessment and diagnosis of cognitive impairment in older adults. Presenters addressed major causes of progressive dementias in older adults, introduced tools used to assess cognitive functioning and key elements of a social assessment that may inform a comprehensive evaluation of dementia.

Developed by Community Catalyst, in collaboration with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and The Lewin Group, this revamped webinar series is intended to inform health plans as they seek to enhance the role of the member in health plan decisions and administration. The webinars are also intended for frontline community partners and delivery staff such as care managers, member service representatives and home care providers.
