Community Catalyst Launches Learning Community Call Series on Links Between Health and Housing

Community Catalyst recently kicked off a health and housing learning community call series to engage national, regional, state and local partners who are working in, or want to start working on the intersection of health and housing issues. The first webinar, Health and Housing 101: Understanding the Intersections, featured Eva Marie Stahl, Ph.D. from the Community Catalyst Alliance for Children’s Health (CCACH) team, Janet Vivieros, MPH from  the National Housing Conference and Megan Sandel, MD from Children’s Health Watch, Boston Medical Center and the National Center for Medical-Legal Partnerships. Lewin Group Releases New Geriatrics Services Capacity Assessment Tool

The Lewin Group, under contract with the Medicare-Medicaid Coordination Office (MMCO) in the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), released a new resource – the Geriatric Services Capacity Assessment. This tool was developed to help health plans and health systems, including community providers, hospitals, and other health care delivery organizations, evaluate their current ability to meet the needs of geriatric adults and to identify strategic opportunities for improvement. Geriatric-competent care focuses on providing care and support for maximum function as well as preventing or eliminating barriers to integrated, accessible care.
