Angelina Edwards is a Communications Coordinator at Community Catalyst. In this role, Angelina supports the organization’s story collection and storytelling efforts and helps to build earned, owned and digital media strategies. She also supports the communications team’s internal processes.

Angelina’s favorite part of her job is taking the pen on blogs, press releases, and materials that allow her to uplift the stories of impacted community members and explain the issues in our health care system. Previously, Angelina was a social justice reporter at a local newspaper in central Missouri. She also did audience development work for The Kansas City Beacon, a non-profit newsroom dedicated to improving civic life through community-driven coverage.

Angelina received a bachelor’s degree in journalism with minors in Spanish and women’s and gender studies from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Angelina lives in Kansas City, MO, where she was born and raised. In her spare time, she enjoys exploring coffee shops, record stores and thrift stores in the area and having craft nights with friends.
