Bianca Townsend is a Strategic Manager for Community Catalyst’s Vaccine Equity & Access Program. In this role, Bianca provides technical assistance to community-based organizations working to boost confidence and improve access to COVID-19 and influenza vaccines in communities of color. Bianca brings more than 10 years of experience in local public health to Community Catalyst.
Previously, Bianca worked as a health educator where she taught community-based organizations about communicable diseases and provided outreach and advocacy to the LGBTQ+ community. As a Detroit native and a former community health worker for the City of Detroit Health Department, Bianca brings her passion to support the health of marginalized communities through actualizing equity at every level.
Bianca received her formal education at Northwood University and has been active in community outreach for most of her life. Her greatest joys are found in serving her family and community.
