Jennifer Cortes, MSW, LMSW, is a Project Manager for the Together for Medicaid program. In this role, Jennifer oversees a portfolio of state campaigns for which she provides technical assistance to advocacy partners, develops the program’s sub-granting strategy, and facilitates the learning community.
Previously, Jennifer worked as a mission and strategic outreach coordinator for Susan G. Komen Louisiana. Through her work with Komen Louisiana, she significantly increased the affiliate’s impact on the breast health and breast cancer needs of the community through a variety of outreach, education, and advocacy initiatives. Jennifer has also worked in the mental health field, which — along with many other experiences — further fuels her passion for improving access to equitable health care.
Jennifer received a bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University and a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Valdosta State University. Jennifer is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in Louisiana.
