Michael Brand
Michael Brand is a Program Associate for the Center for Community Engagement in Health Innovation at Community Catalyst. In this role, Michael provides administrative and programmatic support across a variety of the Center’s research and advocacy projects.
For more than a decade, Michael worked for a variety of community-based non-profit organizations to support people with behavioral health needs. The majority of Michael’s previous work focused on assisting individuals, families, and communities in navigating behavioral health crises, both directly and through program management. Michael was also a teaching associate for the Department of Medical Sciences at Brown University, where he assisted medical students in developing person-centered care practices.
Michael received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, a master’s degree in social work from Rhode Island College, and a certificate of graduate studies in non-profit leadership from Rhode Island College. Michael lives in Pawtucket, Rhode Island with his partner. He loves music and his dog, Shepley.
