Michael Matson is a Policy Analyst with the Policy & Strategy Team. In this role, Michael conducts policy research and analysis on health care issues that cut across multiple programs within Community Catalyst. He brings a particular focus and expertise in addressing the health care needs of queer and trans individuals.
Prior to joining Community Catalyst in 2019, Michael worked with multiple nonprofit organizations dedicated to addressing social determinants of health and access to care at the community level. This included contributions at a Syringe Exchange Program in rural New York and later, Fenway Health, a Federally Qualified Health Center that specializes in the health care needs of the LGBTQ+ community.
Michael holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and currently resides near Boston, Massachusetts
