Monique S. Patrick joined Community Catalyst in September 2025 as Chief Finance and Strategy Officer (CFSO). In this role, she guides the organization’s financial strategy, resource alignment, and organizational strategy as it embarks on its next strategic plan. Her leadership ensures that Community Catalyst has the vision, systems, and capacity to achieve our mission of building a health system rooted in race equity and health justice—one that is essential to a world where we are all more free and healthy.

Monique brings more than two decades of executive experience in finance, operations, and strategy across the nonprofit, public health, and corporate sectors. Most recently, she served as Chief Operating Officer at the CDC Foundation, where she led operations, finance, risk management, compliance, HR, and emergency response. She oversaw a wide-ranging technology transformation, including the implementation of new enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms, Salesforce, Oracle NetSuite, ADP, and a modern applicant tracking system. She also optimized procurement and business continuity processes and helped scale the organization rapidly—recruiting and onboarding more than 3,500 staff to respond to urgent public health crises, including the opioid epidemic and COVID-19.

Her earlier leadership roles at the Points of Light Foundation and the American Cancer Society gave her deep expertise in financial operations and resource management, including oversight of multimillion-dollar budgets and the development of high-impact cross-sector partnerships. She began her career in management positions at Pepsi and AT&T, where she gained a strong foundation in operational excellence and business process improvement.

Beyond her professional career, Monique serves on the national board of Step UP, where she sits on the finance and audit committee. She has also served as a board member of the Elaine Clark Center and vice chair of ROOTS adoption agency. She holds a B.A. in Finance & Administration from Howard University and an MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.
