Nicholle Cross, MPH, is a Strategic Manager for the Vaccine Equity and Access Program at Community Catalyst. In this role, Nicholle provides training and technical assistance to community-based organizations to build vaccine confidence and acceptance in systemically-excluded communities.
Nicholle received a bachelor’s degree in biology from Spelman College, where she discovered her passion for health equity and social justice. This experience led her to pursue a Master of Public Health (MPH) at the University of Maryland Baltimore.
While completing her capstone, Nicholle supported the work of the Maryland Child Abuse and Neglect Fatality review team to address preventable child and infant mortalities. Following this experience, she served as a health educator with National Health Corps Chicago, proudly serving the communities that shaped her. In this role, Nicholle developed culturally-appropriate COVID-19 communications materials, administered Asthma and e-cigarette trainings, and supported evaluation efforts for the Respiratory Health Association. Nicholle later worked as an Outreach and Enrollment Specialist, facilitating the education and registration in the federal health marketplace among uninsured and underinsured community members.
Nicholle’s overarching career goal is to make a profound impact on underserved communities of diverse backgrounds.
