Sheree H. Keitt, DrPH, MPH, CHES is the Director of Public Health Strategy and Programs at Community Catalyst. In this role, she shapes the strategic vision of the Community-First Public Health (CFPH) initiatives, which center on addressing health disparities, empowering communities, and advancing health justice. Dr. Keitt spearheaded the design and implementation of the Vaccine Equity and Access Program, building a community-driven framework for culturally responsive vaccine education and equitable distribution during the COVID-19 pandemic. This work created the foundation for subsequent community-engaged research on Long COVID and childhood vaccine safety.

With more than 20 years of experience, Dr. Keitt has championed health equity by addressing the structural and social drivers of disparities. Her academic research has examined life course approaches to understanding preconception health and preterm birth differences among U.S.-born and foreign-born Black women. Before joining Community Catalyst, she served in a leadership role at the National Healthy Start Association, directing training and advocacy efforts to strengthen maternal and child health outcomes through collective impact and community mobilization. Her public health contributions span work with leading national organizations, state and local health departments, and community-based organizations, including in the community where she was raised, grounding her work in lived experience.

Dr. Keitt holds a doctor of public health and master of public health degree in community health from Walden University, a graduate certificate in public health from the University at Albany, SUNY, and a bachelor’s degree in advertising from Michigan State University. She is a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) and serves on the Board of Trustees at the Society for Public Health Education.
