LeeAnn lives in Athens, Ohio. She was enrolled in Medicaid for three years until her coverage ended in November of 2019.

Before she had access to Medicaid, LeeAnn lost her job due to substance use disorder. Being able to enroll in Medicaid allowed her to receive critical inpatient and outpatient treatment and medications. Medicaid also allowed her to have access to a network of resources and recovery support that she could not have found on her own.

Medicaid helps to restore health and wellness to so many people like LeeAnn.

Today, she works full time as a chemical dependency counselor and has health coverage through her employer. But it was Medicaid that threw LeeAnn a lifeline and and gave her life back.
